Fraser and I came up to DC yesterday after I got off work early. By the way working as a graphic designer at Evergreen Enterprises is going great on week 3. First couple days were busy with HR, getting used the computer, getting tutorials on how things work in the office, etc... then I received a few projects (Passport to Profits Party in Atlanta) and my invitation got rave reviews (yay!) so that made me feel great. Pretty cool communicating with people in our joint office in Atlanta and even Shanghai. Hopefully I'll get a chance to travel to our office in Ningbo, China. Considering I've traveled all over the world it is comforting to work in an office with Chinese speaking individuals... feels like I'm in a more international work place if that makes sense ha ha. Anywho it was nice to get out of the office early on Friday because the work load is sky high on my desk, I'll get to experience that on Monday (eek!). I'm currently redoing our existing Cape Craftsman, Flag, and Evergreen catalogs for our UK and European sales people... I need to change all the pricing to Pounds or Euros. I've been communicating with the London office as well, pretty cool. Ok enough about work, it is Saturday, I just wanted to give an update!
Fraser's Father, Ian, came into town on Wednesday to see Joe Satriani perform on Thursday night. He said the concert was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed Lebanese last night (yum yum) and were planning on doing an outside activity today except it is raining :( Thankfully there is plenty to do inside so we are going to the International Spy Museum and to view Lino Tagliapietra in Retrospect: A Modern Renaissance in Glass (Renwick) which Ian has already seen but he said it was absolutely amazing and wants to see it again. Tomorrow when the rain subsides we are going to take him to Annapolis and show him around and were my Dad went to school, the United States Naval Academy. I love Annapolis so I'm looking forward to that.
I'll post pictures!
